Pneumosil Vaccine is a vaccine that helps protect your child against diseases such as pneumonia, meningitis, ear and blood infections. It helps the body make its own antibodies which protects your child against these diseases.
Pneumosil Vaccine provides protection against diseases caused by ten different strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria. It is usually given as an injection into the muscle (intramuscularly) of the upper thigh or upper arm, by a doctor or nurse. It should not be self-administered. Your doctor will decide the dose that is best for you.
Common side effects of this vaccine include loss of appetite, irritability, drowsiness, and fever. You may also notice some injection site reactions like pain, swelling, or redness. In babies, Easyfour-TT Paediatric Vaccine is injected into the thigh muscles. Whereas, in older children, the injection is given into the arm muscle. The first 3 doses of Easyfour-TT Paediatric Vaccine are to be given 4 weeks apart at 6, 10, and 14 weeks of age followed by booster doses given when your child turns 15-18 years.
