Lox 4% Topical Solution contains Lignocaine which belongs to the group of medicines called Local Anaesthetics. It is used to cause numbness in the oral cavity. It provides pain relief and reduces discomfort in the oral cavity when the mucosal membranes of the mouth or the throat have been inflamed, irritated, or infected.
It also anesthetizes the oral cavity, respiratory tract, and digestive tract prior to the insertion of catheters or certain instruments used during diagnostic procedures (such as bronchoscopy or esophagoscopy). It also helps in managing gag reflux (vomiting sensation) that occurs during dental procedures (such as X-rays of the oral cavity or dental impressions).
