BP USP Powervitals Tonic Cyproheptadine is a serotonin and histamine antagonist with anticholinergic & sedative effects. Antiserotonin and antihistamine drugs appear to compete with serotonin and histamine, respectively, for receptor sites. Multivitamin supplement where a poor dietary intake of the relevant vitamins exists.
Cyproheptadine is indicated in perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis, vasomotor, rhinitis, allergic conjunctivits, allergic skin manifestations of urticarial. Multivitamin syrup is used as a supplement in the treatment of conditions associated with deficiency of certain B-complex vitamins such as severe infections, degenerative diseases, surgical procedures, injuries, burns, old age, beri-beri, riboflavinosis or pellagra.
