It follows the principle of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) by releasing a small, controlled dose of nicotine into the bloodstream to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings associated with smoking cessation. The patch is designed to be used in a step-down process, gradually reducing nicotine intake to help the individual wean off nicotine.
