Baidyanath (Jhansi) Ayurvedant Paenwin Tablet constituents work in harmony with nature and helps to reduce joint pain, stiffness and muscles sprains. Haldi constituents include the three curcuminoids: curcumin (diferuloylmethane; the primary constituent and the one responsible for its vibrant yellow color), demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin, as well as volatile oils (tumerone, atlantone, and zingiberone), sugars, proteins and resins. Shallaki gum resin (Boswellia serrate) contains oils, terpenoids, sugars, and volatile oils. Up to 16 percent of the resin is essential oil, the majority being alpha-thujene and p-cymene. Four pentacyclic triterpene acids are also present, with beta-boswellic acid being the major constituent are responsible for inhibition of pro-inflammatory enzymes. Out of these four boswellic acids, acetyl-11-keto-?-boswellic acid is the most potent inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase, an enzyme responsible for inflammation. Ashwgandha (Withania somnifera) root major biochemical constituents are steroidal alkaloids and steroidal lactones in a class of constituents called withanolides. Studies show protective effect in arthritis.
